What is The Paying Guest?
The Paying Guest is a suspense thriller short film about a young woman who moves into a new home as a paying guest, only to find herself caught in a web of secrets, trauma, and danger. It’s an indie film rooted in raw storytelling and cinematic passion.
Who is behind the film?
The film is written and directed by Kalpesh Mistry, an independent filmmaker and experienced editor from India. It is produced under Shashvat Katha Motion Pictures, a production house focused on emotionally driven, story-first cinema.
Why are you crowdfunding?
We’re raising funds because we want to create this film independently, without compromising its artistic vision. Crowdfunding helps us gather the support of those who believe in meaningful storytelling and want to support indie cinema.
Where will the funds be used?
